Diveagar Beach

Diveagar Beach is very clean and beautiful beach located in Dive agar village of Shrivardhan tehsil in Raigad District under Konkan region. Diveagar village also has its historical significance. Dive agar village is very scenic village which have very beautiful and eye pleasuring beaches, Temples, Fishing settlements and different types of resorts nearby. The list of Temples include Keshraj Temple and a very excellent temple named Suvarna Ganesh Mandir in the town and its famous for its lord Ganesh statue which is made up of gold. This statue was found by a women named laxmibai while working in her farm area. She donated the idol to village and the temple was built to place the statue. It was very unfortunate event, that some disgraced thieves stole the idol for some cash. 

Not many tourists visit here every year, which is why the beaches here are clean and natural. You will easily fall in love with the culture and food of this region.

Also, in addition to temples and beaches, there are many water sports or beach rides are available here in affordable rates. Also, the resorts in Diveagar are range from high to low according to your budget. While staying in the town, one can enjoy the unique taste of seafood here. Also, you can buy various types of sea food at bhadarkhol village which is very near to Diveagar village. And you can give seafood to any cook in Diveagar and enjoy your meal at night with a calm sea winds.

Best period to visit the town is around monsoon season, the village gets hotter in the summer season due to higher humidity in the region. However, one can enjoy Diveagar across the year but June to September is recommended time to visit the place.

It is around 191 km in south of Mumbai, 160 km away from pune, 182 km away from Satara and around 304 km far from Kolhapur city.

From Mumbai: Mumbai- Khopoli- Pali- Mangoan- Diveagar.

From Pune: Pune- Mulshi- Tamhini Ghat- Mangoan- Mhasala- Diveagar.

From Satara: Satara- Mahabaleshwar- Poladpur- Mahad- Mhasala- Diveagar.

From Kolhapur: Kolhapur- Karad- Satara- Mahabaleshwar- Poladpur- Mahad- Mhasala- Diveagar.

Padmadurg Fort: The fort built by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is very near to diveagar beach. One should go to dighi and take jetty boat ride to agardanda and then travel to fort to save the time.

Murud Janjira Fort: Murud Janjira fort is very near to diveagar beach. One should go to dighi and take jetty boat ride to agardanda and then travel to fort to save the time.

Shrivardhan: Shrivardhan is a village which has historical significance. It is the village of peshwa family. And it is around 22 km away from diveagar beach.

Harihareshwar: The very famous temple of harihareshwar is only 37.6 km away from diveagar beach and can be travelled by road.

Velas Beach: a very famous velas beach for its turtle is only 13 km away from diveagar.

Bankot Fort: Bankot fort comes in Ratnagiri district is around 43 km away from Diveagar beach. The fort is small but has scenic and beautiful structures.
